Jiří Hrdlička (born November 26, 1973 ) is a Czech cyclist from SC Svitavka . He is a two-time world champion in two-man cycling (2003, 2008).

Career

Hrdlička began his professional career at the Favorite Brno club. Together with Miroslav Berger , he became world champion in 2003 and won the overall world cup. In the next few years they won a World Cup silver medal, a few medals in the World Cup and twice the Czech Cup.

In 2007 he moved to SC Svitavka and has played with Radim Hason ever since . They became world champions together in 2008 and Czech champions in 2009. They also won the Czech Cup three times and came second in the 2010 overall World Cup. After the 2011 season, his partner Radim Hason took a break and since then Hrdlička has been playing with Pavel Loskot .

In November 2017 he started with his son Jiří jun. at the indoor cycling world championships in 2017 in Dornbirn, Austria, and the two finished fourth.
