Dietmar Sehn

Dietmar Sehn (born August 22, 1944 in Dresden ) is a German non-fiction author.

Life

Alfred Dietmar Sehn was born on August 22nd, 1944 in Dresden. He learned the profession of materials tester and completed a master's course in metallurgy at the Freital stainless steel plant. The company newspaper "Friedensstahl" published its first glosses.

Sehn studied from 1969 to 1972 at the Institute for Literature in Leipzig and then worked full-time in the cultural sector, for example as a department head for culture and specialist advisor for the artistic word sector at the district cabinet for cultural work. He wrote skits for cabarets and entertainment programs, children's radio plays, reports on local history, glosses and short stories about "everyday life". The contributions were broadcast on the radio, appeared in almost all GDR newspapers, several times under pseudonyms.

From 1990 Sehn worked for Bertelsmann and other publishing houses, completed a journalism training and is a member of the Journalists 'Association Saxony, appears as a speaker in adult education centers and senior citizens' associations. Dietmar Sehn has devoted himself mainly to Saxon history for a decade and is a successful non-fiction author.

The journalist and book author has now published a series of books, including several regional books on Dresden, Leipzig and Bautzen as well as four Christmas books. Sehn has also been working as a tour guide and tour guide since 2004, including at the Dresden Panometer for the exhibitions “Dresden im Barock” and “Dresden 1945”.
