Dietrich Bamm

Dietrich Bamm (born January 21, 1939 ; † January 21, 2011 in Berlin ) was a German civil engineer and professor of steel construction .

Life

Dietrich Bamm received his doctorate in 1974 from the Technical University of Berlin , where he was professor in the field of steel construction at the Institute for Civil Engineering from 1975. Among the questions of steel construction, he gained special, also international recognition in the field of scaffolding.

In the academic committees of the department, Bamm was involved as a liaison lecturer for foreign students and in assessing student performance for BAföG funding.

Bamm retired on March 31, 2004. He died on his 72nd birthday.
