Dietrich Faber (born December 2, 1969 in Gießen ) is a German cabaret artist , author and writer of regional crime novels

Life

Faber grew up in Langgöns. Between 1991 and 1996 he tried three aborted courses in teaching in Marburg, theater studies in Erlangen and German studies in Gießen. During this time he trained in acting, speaking and singing. He has been working full-time as a cabaret artist since 1996 and performed together with Martin Guth as the duo " FaberhaftGuth " until 2013 . From 2003 to 2005 Faber was a columnist for the magazine “ Playing and Learning ”. In addition, publications appeared in “ Brigitte ” and “Leben und Erziehing” and was an author, speaker and parodist a. a. for Hit Radio FFH and Hessischer Rundfunk .

Since the beginning of the crime series he has been on tour with his cabaret and musical "Show for the Book", also with musicians in changing cast (Tess Wiley, Tim Potzas, Michael Harries, Evelyn Helbig, Oliver Pohl, Maria Rothfuchs, Ina Morgan, George Baehr) . Dietrich Faber is the ambassador for the regions of Upper Hesse and Central Hesse and the winner of the Wetterau Culture Prize 2015. He lives with his wife and son in Giessen.

Prizes and awards

With FaberhaftGuth he won the Cologne Comedy Cup, the Stuttgart Broom and the St. Ingberter Pfanne .
