Dietrich I. (Munster)
Dietrich I (also Thiedrich ; † January 23, 1022 ) was the twelfth bishop of Münster from 1011 until his death in 1022 . He was the son of Count Brun von Arneburg and von Gerburg von Stade, the daughter of Count Heinrich I. von Stade. His date of birth is not known. He is a relative of the Billunger noble family.
Before being appointed Bishop of Munster, he was in the service of the court orchestra . During his term of office it is known that he pursued a simonistic acquisition policy and thus came into conflict with his own uncle and the Count of Werl-Arnsberg.
