Dietrich von Orsbeck (* unknown; † August 27, 1626 ) was canon in Münster and Paderborn .

Life

Dietrich von Orsbeck came from the von Orsbeck family, who had owned Orsbeck since the 12th century . It died out with the Elector Johann Hugo von Orsbeck (1634–1711) from Trier . Dietrich was born the son of Engelbert von Orsbeck and his wife Elisabeth von Bongart. On January 24, 1615, he had an imperial promise of a canonical submitted. After the death of canon Kaspar Ketteler he took his on May 5, 1616 Dompräbende possession. He studied in Italy for 18 months. On 23 June 1623 renounced it because the necessary emancipation was denied. Dietrich was also canon and cathedral cantor in Paderborn.

His epitaph is in the cloister of Paderborn Cathedral.
