Digital cadastral map

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The digital cadastral map ( DKM ) is the representation of all properties in Austria in digital form. It is available practically all over Austria and thus replaces the analogue cadastral map .

The DKM indirectly (in connection with the land register ) documents ownership of the land and includes property boundaries, property numbers, types of use (construction area, forest, meadow, arable land, etc.), buildings, boundary points and official surveying points.

As part of the property database, anyone can access the data via the Internet.

Accuracy (quality) of the digital cadastral map (DKM)

In principle, the accuracy of the DKM corresponds to that of the analogue cadastral map. It would therefore be a gross mistake to deduce the quality of the DKM from the scale-free display option.

The following levels of accuracy exist:

  • In areas without follow-up measurements, the quality corresponds to that of the initial survey.
  • In areas with follow-up measurements, it corresponds to that of the underlying plans and sketches. (These are available for inspection in the collection of documents of the relevant land surveying office). Limit point numbers written at limit points serve as an indication of subsequent measurements.
  • In the area of boundary cadastral properties (the corresponding property numbers are underlined with three short lines), the accuracy is within the mean point accuracy of the boundary points required in the respective surveying ordinance. This ranges from 25 cm (1969) to 5 cm (2016)
