The Dim Dam ( Turkish Dim Barajı ) is located 12 km east of Alanya on Dim Çayı in the southern Turkish province of Antalya .
The Dim Dam was built in 1997–2007 as a rock embankment dam with concrete waterproofing on the water side. It is used for irrigation , energy generation and drinking water supply . The barrier structure is 123.5 m high (above the valley floor) and has a volume of 4.8 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 5 km² and has a storage volume of 240 million m³. The dam is designed to irrigate an area of 5312 hectares. The Dim Dam hydroelectric power station has an installed capacity of 38.25 megawatts . The standard work capacity is 122 GWh annually.
