Wolfgang Deml (born July 31, 1945 ) is a German manager . Since 2011 he has chaired the supervisory board of Hauck & Aufhäuser AG and is a member of the supervisory board of AGCO AG in Atlanta. From 1991 to 2008 he was CEO of BayWa AG and held positions in a number of cooperative companies throughout Europe.

Life

Deml studied industrial engineering at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . His career began in management consulting at Rosenkrantz and Roland Berger, and later he was management spokesman at Union Investment . From 1988 to 2008 he was a member of the Board of Management of BayWa AG, from 1991 as CEO. Deml was a vice-president of Deutsche- Raiffeisen AG and chairman of the supervisory board of Österreichische-Raiffeisen Landesbanken. He was a participating member of Lundenburger Invest Beteiligungs AG, Süddeutsche Zuckerrübenverwertungs-Genossenschaft eG until December 2003, MAN Truck & Bus Nutzfahrzeuge AG and Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank , Bayerische Landesbank and Raiffeisen Ware Austria Aktiengesellschaft.

Since 1999 he has supported the supervisory boards of the AGCO , VK Mühlen , Leipnik-Lundenburger Invest Beteiligungs AG, “Unser Lagerhaus” Warenhandelsgesellschaft mbH and Mannheimer Versicherung AG groups. Since 2011 he has chaired the supervisory board of Hauck & Aufhäuser AG and is a member of the supervisory board of AGCO AG in Atlanta. Since 2009 he has been a member of the advisory board of Halder Beteiligungsberatung GmbH, which he has chaired since 2014.
