Dimitri Dragin (born December 2, 1984 in Le Havre ) is a former French judoka . He was third at the 2013 European Championships.

Athletic career

The 1.65 m tall Dragin Darbelet mostly competed in the super-light weight of up to 60 kilograms until 2009, and from 2010 it started in the half-light weight of up to 66 kilograms.

Dragin received bronze at the team world championships in 2006 and silver at the team European championships. He won the title at the World Student Championship held in Suwon in December 2006. In April 2007 he achieved his first victory in a World Cup tournament in Rome. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing he won his first three fights, in the semifinals he was defeated by the Austrian Ludwig Paischer . He then lost the battle for a bronze medal against the Uzbek Rishod Sobirov . In 2009 Dragin won the Grand Slam tournament in Paris.

After switching to half-lightweight, he won his only French championship title in 2010. David Larose was nominated for the 2012 Olympic Games in the light weight division . At the European Championships in Budapest in 2013, he was defeated in the quarterfinals to the Russian Kamal Chan-Magomedow . Dragin won a bronze medal with two wins in the round of hope, while his compatriot David Larose won the other bronze medal. Dragin remained internationally active until 2015.
