Dimitrios Lialios

Dimitrios Lialios ( Greek Δημήτριος Λιάλιος , * 1869 in Patras ; † March 13, 1940 ibid) was a Greek composer of classical music.

Lialios studied at the Royal Music School in Munich with Ludwig Thuille . Between 1919 and 1935 Lialios was the Greek Vice Consul in Munich. Lialios was the first Greek composer to turn to chamber music.

He created more than 100 works, including 22 orchestral compositions, 14 chamber music works, a requiem , an opera and 2 compositions for Greek Orthodox liturgies.
