The Direct Mail Company AG is a Swiss service company for the delivery of unaddressed direct mail . It has been part of Swiss Post since 2012 . 5,200 employed delivery staff supply around 2 million private households and companies in Switzerland with printed advertising material (brochures, catalogs, customer magazines) and publications as well as product samples.

history

The company was founded in 1962 by Hans Bodenschatz and Friedrich Hof. Direct Mail Verpackungs AG was founded in 1969 (today Direct Mail Logistics) and integrated into the company in 2001. At the beginning of the 2000s, the company built up another pillar with software development . Direct Mail Informatics was founded in 2006 as a division of the Direct Mail Company. In 2009, an "IN-" advertising brochure was introduced as a publishing product. Direct Mail Company AG has been part of Swiss Post since 2012 . In 2013 Direct Mail Company bought Prisma Medienservice AG and in 2019 Distriba AG. In 2017 the company launched an app and a website for digital brochures.

Core business

The core business of Direct Mail Company AG is the delivery of unaddressed direct mail. In the case of direct mail, the so-called "directs" are largely advertising brochures from Swiss trading companies. The distribution areas are determined by the trading companies by postcode.

Consumo publication

Brochure advertising is delivered twice a week packaged in the carrier medium Consumo - formerly IN-. The Consumo is editorially prepared and deals with topics related to family, entertainment, enjoyment, health and nature. It appears in three languages. According to the advertising media research company WEMF, the IN-925,000 has regular readers (published in MACH Consumer 2018). Deliveries are made by Direct Mail Company AG and Swiss Post - to over 1.4 million households.

Profit

In addition to the physical distribution of brochures, a new digital channel was launched in 2017 with the product Profital . With an app and a corresponding website, consumers can access brochures, promotions and opening times of shops in the area on the go.

Direct Mail Informatics

Direct Mail Informatics develops and implements software solutions in the areas of subscriber management, production planning and delivery with the “Media Solutions” division. The “Media Services” division provides inbound and other services on behalf of publishers. Special software and apps are developed and programmed with the “i-ware” division.

Direct Mail Logistik AG

Direct Mail Logistik AG specializes in print media logistics, international forwarding, fulfillment and lettershop.
