Dirk Blothner

Dirk Blothner (* 1949 ) is a German psychoanalyst and psychotherapist . He holds lectures in art and media psychology at the University of Cologne and has already published numerous essays and monographs.

Life

Blothner received his diploma in psychology from the University of Cologne in 1977 . Two years later he received his degree in analytical intensive treatment and received his doctorate in 1981. phil. at the University of Cologne with the work: "The American Friend". An investigation into film effects psychology and art psychology ”. He then worked at the Clinic for Psychotherapy in Düsseldorf until he became a research assistant with Wilhelm Salber at the Psychological Institute of the University of Cologne in 1983 . In 1989 Blothner became a psychoanalyst in his own practice and completed his habilitation with the work "The happy moment" at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Cologne in 1990. From 1993 to 1994 he was a chair for psychology and in 1996 became an associate professor appointed by the University of Cologne. For many years he was chairman of the Society for Psychological Morphology eV (GPM) .
