Dirk Fiala (born September 10, 1949 in Wuppertal ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Fiala, who was born in Wuppertal, went through the youth teams of the Wuppertal Sports Club until 1968 . He then moved from Heckinghausen to the Stadion am Zoo , where he played with Wuppertaler SV in the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 1974/75 season he played three times in the top German football class. The WSV took the last place in the table with only 12 points and was relegated to the second division. In the second division, Fiala played a game for Wuppertal. After that, his senior career ended due to an injury.
After his time as a player, Fiala took over the coaching position at several clubs, including SV Holtsee, VfL Vogelsang-Grünholz, Osdorfer SV and Gettorfer SC.

Until his retirement, Fiala worked for 31 years in the building department of the Hüttener Berge administration.
