Dirk Konzer (born March 26, 1968 ) was a football player at BSG Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt , for which he briefly played in 1989 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR Football Association .

Athletic career

In 1983, at the age of 15, Konzer joined the youth soccer department of the company sports association (BSG) Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt. After completing his schooling, he completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith. Having just outgrown the junior age, he played his first game for BSG Stahl in the second-rate GDR league in the 1986/87 season . For the season 1987/88 Konzer was officially nominated for the GDR league team as a defensive player and was used twelve times in the 34 point games. In the 1988/89 season, the 1.76 m group was back as a defender in the GDR league collective, but was not yet able to play in the team as a 20-year-old. He only made 15 point appearances, but he scored one goal.

The 1988/89 season surprisingly finished steel Eisenhüttenstadt as a climber in the GDR league. Konzer was part of the Oberliga lineup, but had to wait until the ninth game day for its first league appearance. In the encounter between Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt and Hansa Rostock (1: 1) on October 28, 1989, coach Günter Reinke used him as a left winger for over 90 minutes. In the following two league games, Konzer only played two short appearances as a substitute, after which his league career was already over. In 1990, Konzer Stahl left Eisenhüttenstadt, where he had played a total of 31 point games and scored one goal.

In 1990 and 1991 Konzer played for SV Preußen Frankfurt in the then fourth-class Brandenburg Association . For the 1991/92 season he joined the third-rate amateur league club Frankfurter FC Viktoria . After he had finished his career as a competitive athlete, he played for many years for the district league club SV Blau-Weiß Turbine Lebus until 2006 and in between also helped out for a few games at Eisenhüttenstädter FC Stahl , the successor to the former BSG Stahl. In 2011 he played in the over-35 team of FC Viktoria in Frankfurt.
