Dirk Mende (philosopher)
Dirk Mende (* 1968 in Waldshut ) is a German philosopher.
Mendes specializes in metaphorology . He did his doctorate in 2004 at the TU Dresden with Thomas Rentsch and Anselm Haverkamp with the thesis “Image and clearing. A metaphorological investigation into the relationship between Schelling's speculations about the age of the world and Heidegger's late philosophy. "
Mende teaches at the cultural studies faculty of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt / Oder.
He must not be confused with the author of the same name and former literary scholar of the University of Stuttgart Dirk Mende .
