The Discount Bank, also known as Edificio Montevideo Waterwork's & Co , is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The building, erected around 1857, is located in Ciudad Vieja on Calle Rincón, corner of Zabala . There is no information about the architect of the building, which was originally designed as a commercial and residential building for the Compañía de Aguas Corrientes, Montevideo Waterworks Company . It now houses the headquarters of the Discount Bank. Structural interventions were carried out around 1900 under the direction of the architect John Adams on the twelve-meter-high, two-story building with a floor area of ​​1258 m² . In the years 2000 to 2001 repair and restoration work took place under the direction of the architects A. Graetz and R. Moraes .

Since 2000, according to other sources since 1974, the building has been classified as the Monumento Histórico Nacional .
