Discover Middleeast (“Discover ME”) is the first German-language culture and business magazine in the Middle East . It appears every two months with a circulation of 14,500 copies in the United Arab Emirates and is also available in Germany by subscription.
Discover Middleeast is produced by German journalists on site and provides information, trends and background reports on life in an Arab country. The magazine sees itself as an ambassador between cultures and aims to reflect the diversity of the Middle East through objective reporting from a German perspective. The magazine covers the areas of business, real estate, culture, sport and lifestyle.
The main office of Discover Middleeast is located in Dubai , and there is also a presence in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi . The magazine works closely with the German Embassy in Abu Dhabi and other German organizations in the United Arab Emirates. Discover Middleeast is also cooperating with Deutsche Lufthansa , which offers copies of the magazine in business and first class on its flights to the Middle East, with airberlin, and with the luxury hotel Emirates Palace , which distributes the magazine as part of its limousine service. Other partners include a. the Swiss and Austrian embassies, the German School Abu Dhabi, the German Academic Exchange Service eV (DAAD) and the Goethe-Institut in Abu Dhabi.
The first issue of the magazine appeared in December 2006. The issue price is 25 dirhams , the equivalent of around 5 euros.
