Disiz
Disiz (pronounced Dissis; born March 22, 1978 in Amiens ; real name Serigne M'Baye Gueye ), also known as Disiz la Peste , is a French rapper and actor .
biography
Disiz is the son of a Belgian mother and a Senegalese father. He grew up with rap listening to French rap groups NTM and IAM . He was a fan of the Pfandrimeurs group , which eventually inspired him to rap through their music. At the age of 18 he was discovered under the rap name Disiz la Peste through a demo tape called Bête de bombe by Joey Starr , one of the members of NTM. He was also active as an actor and starred in the film Taxi 2 , for the soundtrack of which he also contributed music.
His first album, Le poisson rouge , in German the goldfish , sold 200,000 copies and received double gold . The single J'pète les plombs , in German I freak out , made him famous at the age of 19 and was awarded gold.
In 2004 and 2005 his second ( Itinéraire d'un enfant bronzé ) and third album ( Les Histoires extraordinaires d'un jeune de banlieue ) were released.
In 2009 he announced with his fourth album Disiz the End that he would end his rap career because the French rap had developed a wrong way for him, which was met with incomprehension among his fans. He began to play punk rock music under the name Disiz Peter and released the album Dans le ventre du crocodile in 2010 , which did not make it into the French charts.
In 2012 he returned to French rap with his EP Lucide . As with the last rap album, he only called himself Disiz for a short time . Shortly thereafter, the album Extra-Lucide was released as part of the Lucide trilogy. Transe-Lucide followed in 2014 .
