Diterpene alkaloids are natural substances of the terpene alkaloid type.

Occurrence

Veatchin is in the bark of the garrya counting veatchii Garrya to find. Aconitine is the main alkaloid in the blue monkshood .

structure

Diterpene alkaloids can be divided into two groups: The diterpene alkaloids , which are based on a C20 base, and the Norditerpene alkaloids , which are based on a hexacyclic C19 base.

Representative

Diterpene group

The C20 alkaloids include the atisin type ( atisin , hetidine , hetisin ) and the veatchin type ( veatchin , napellin ).

Northern titerpen group

The C19 alkaloids include the aconitine type ( aconitine , delphinine ) and the lycoctonine type ( lycoctonine , browniin ).

properties

Aconitine has cardiac arrhythmic and fever-reducing properties and is one of the most toxic plant substances.
