Dithioesters ( dithiocarboxylic acid esters ) form a group of substances in organic chemistry in which the two oxygen atoms of a carboxylic acid ester are replaced by sulfur atoms.

Reactivity

Dithioesters react with lithium dialkyl cuprates to form tertiary thiols .
