Division I (chess) 1965
The Division I in 1965 was the 16th Swedish team championship in chess ( Allsvenskan ) and simultaneously the 13th staging in a league mode with ascent and descent.
date and location
The competitions were held in Linköping on November 5th and 6th .
Tournament course
All competitions had a close outcome (the highest result was a 6: 4), so that the first and last place were separated by only three board points despite a clear decision based on team points. The two first places went to last year's climbers Lunds ASK and the team from Gästrikland , while the champions of the previous two years Wasa SK and the team from Östergötland were relegated.
