Division Two 1998

The Two 1998 Division was the third season of the third English rugby league league . The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied the Lancashire Lynx . In 1997, the number of teams was reduced from 11 to 8, as three teams were promoted in the last season, but only one was relegated to the third division. Besides, Carlisle no longer attended. In 1998 there was no promotion and relegation between the second and third division, as these were combined into a single league, the Premiership, in the next season.
