The National League Two 2005 was the sixth season of the third English rugby league league . The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied the York City Knights , who rose to the National League One . The final of the subsequent playoffs won the Batley Bulldogs 28:26 against the Dewsbury Rams . Batley was in penultimate place in the second division and therefore took part in the playoffs of the third division. By winning the final, Batley secured relegation.
