Djawid C. Borower

Djawid C. Borower (* 1958 in Cologne ) is an Austrian visual artist.

Life

Borower studied history and philosophy in Cologne and Vienna and attended the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. From 1984 to 1997 he worked as a freelance author. He wrote regularly for the features section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , produced for the Wiener Festwochen and wrote several plays.

In 1997 he expanded his artistic activities to include the fine arts. An encyclopedic approach is inherent in his work. In 2013 he took part in the 55th Venice Biennale with an exhibition in Palazzo Bembo .

Borower lives in Vienna.
