Marchélepot is a commune Déléguée in the northern French municipality Marchélepot-Misery with 468 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in northern France.

history

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .

On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Marchélepot merged with Misery to form the Commune nouvelle Marchélepot-Misery. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Marchélepot belonged to the canton of Ham and was part of the Communauté de communes Terre de Picardie .

Transport links

The municipality is located on the departmental roads D1017 (downgraded Route nationale 17 ) and D45 immediately south of the A29 autoroute . The railway line from Saint-Just-en-Chaussée to Douai via Chaulnes to Péronne , which is no longer used for passenger traffic , passes it to the west.
