Dmitri Evgenjewitsch Tarasow ( Russian Дмитрий Евгеньевич Тарасов ; born February 13, 1979 in Khabarovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Amur Khabarovsk in the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Dmitri Tarasov began his career as an ice hockey player with Amur Khabarovsk , for whose professional team he was active from 1998 to 2006. After he first played for six years with Amur in the Superliga , he ran after relegation in the 2003/04 season for two years for his home club in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. In the 2005/06 season he succeeded in returning to the super league with Amur. After promotion, however, the winger did not stay in Khabarovsk, but was on the ice for Salawat Yulayev Ufa in the super league, with whom he became Russian champions in the 2007/08 season , for the next two years .

For the 2008/09 season Tarasov signed a contract with HK Dynamo Moscow from the newly founded Continental Hockey League , but left the club after only ten games and moved within the KHL to the city neighbor HK Spartak Moscow . In the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons, the Russian played for the KHL club HK Sibir Novosibirsk before he was signed by Amur Khabarovsk in June 2011 . There he was appointed team captain and led the team until the spring of 2016, when he suffered a traumatic brain injury after a collision . Since then, Tarasov has been without a club.
