Dmitri Viktorovich Trapeznikov ( Russian Дмитрий Викторович Трапезников , Ukrainian Дмитро Вікторович Трапезников Dmytro Wiktorowytsch Trapesnykow * 12. April 1981 in Krasnodar , RSFSR , Soviet Union ) was from 31 August 2018 through September 7, 2018 'interim president "of the self-proclaimed and internationally non-recognized Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

Life

The family of Trapesnikov, who was born in Krasnodar, Russia, in 1981, moved with him to Donetsk in 1982 . In 2004 he graduated from the State Academy for Building and Architecture in Donetsk . From 2001 to 2005 he worked as manager of the fan department of the Shakhtar Donetsk football club . Between 2010 and 2012 he was Deputy Chairman of the District Council of Donetsk Stadtrajon Petrov .

At the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2014 he returned to Donetsk and fought against Ukraine with armed units in the Donbas . Since December 2014 he has been working in the administration of the head of the republic Alexander Vladimirovich Sachartschenko and from April 2015 as his deputy.

After the death of the former chairman of the “People's Republic” Alexander Vladimirovich Sakharchenko , Trapesnikov was appointed interim chief on August 31, 2018. On September 7, 2018, he was replaced by Denis Vladimirovich Puschilin .

Alexander Chodakowski, the DNR's “security minister” and commander of the Vostok battalion loyal to the Kremlin, described Trapesnikov as a “gray cardinal” within the self-proclaimed “republic”.
