Dobet Gnahoré

Dobet Gnahoré (born June 17, 1982 ) is an Ivorian singer.

She moved to Marseille in 1999 because of the civil war in Ivory Coast . Her father, Boni, performs as a drummer with his daughter .

In 2006 she was nominated for the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music as "Best Newcomer" and three years later she was awarded the prestigious Grammy Award on August 31 at the 52nd award in the category "Grammy Award for Best Urban / Alternative Performance “together with India.Arie . In 2018 she gave several concerts with the Trio Ivoire .
