Dobri Chintulov

Dobri Tschintulow ( Bulgarian Добри Чинтулов * 1822 in Sliven ; † 9. April 1886 ) was a Bulgarian poet and teacher.
Tschintulow completed training in Bulgaria, Romania and Russia . He wrote poetry in a patriotic-romantic style. His works are considered to be an important foundation of New Bulgarian poetry. Some of the poems he wrote were set to music. The village of Chintulowo in southeastern Bulgaria and the Chintulov Ridge in Antarctica are named after him.
