Dobroslav Trnka

Dobroslav Trnka (born November 9, 1963 in Skalica ) is a former prosecutor general of the Republic of Slovakia .

Trnka completed his studies in 1987 at the Comenius University in Bratislava as JUDr. from. From 1989 he was an investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office in Bratislava. Between 1999 and 2004 the lawyer was Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Slovakia . In 2004, Trnka was elected Attorney General. Most recently, the lawyer was an ordinary public prosecutor.

On January 16, 2020, Trnka was arrested by a special unit because he was being investigated into corruption . Trnka is suspected of having abused his office. As part of the investigation into the Kuciak murder case , audio and video recordings were confiscated which, if they are genuine, show that Trnka is receiving orders from Marián Kočner . The public prosecutor prevented an investigation against Kočner. Kočner is one of the main suspects in the Kuciak murder case.
