Docke
Docke stands for:
- a doll (regional name)
- a braid-like twisted bundle of yarn, see skein (textile)
- Bundles of grain placed against each other to dry, see diagram
Components:
- a short, thick, profiled, usually square or rectangular column, see balusters
- a small turned column on the spinning wheel (two docks carry the spinning wing and the spindle)
- a holding device for cutting punches in tool making
- Bundles of straw or cardboard for sealing tiles in roofing, see cardboard dock
- a device on a pond through which the water can be drained
