dok.at , also the Austrian Documentary Film Interest Group , represents the interests of Austrian documentary filmmakers . It was founded in 2000 and has directors as well as production companies specializing in documentary films among its members. The seat of the association is in Vienna - Josefstadt .
The organization sees itself primarily as a film and media policy lobby for documentary film , which works to improve the funding situation for independent filmmaking, in particular documentary film, in Austria. dok.at is also working to increase the presence of documentary films in cinema and television and is a contact point for information about documentary filmmaking in Austria .
The association is represented in the umbrella organization of Austrian filmmakers .
