Architecture and history
The Dolivo building was built in the 1950s for the electrical engineering faculty of the Technical University of Darmstadt . Stylistically, the building belongs to the modern and post-war modern . The striking facade made of yellow clinker bricks has been preserved. The terrazzo floor typical of the 1950s has been preserved inside the building . The striking lecture hall building "Hexagon" also belongs to the building complex. In the 2010s, the 4170 square meter department building was renovated .
The department building was named after Michail Dolivo-Dobrowolski .

For architectural and city-historical reasons, the department building is a listed building.
