Dollis Hill Station

Dollis Hill is an above-ground London Underground station in the London Borough of Brent . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 3 on Burnley Road. The station served by the Jubilee Line was used by 3.08 million passengers in 2014.

The line had existed since 1880, but the station was only built later to develop a newly emerging residential area. The opening took place on October 1, 1909 by the Metropolitan Railway (predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line ). From November 20, 1939, trains of the Bakerloo Line stopped here, taking over the traffic on the Stanmore branch line. The parallel traffic only lasted a few months; to enable acceleration and unbundling, trains on the Metropolitan Line have passed this station without stopping since December 7, 1940. On May 1, 1979, the newly opened Jubilee Line took over the traffic of the Bakerloo Line.
