Dolmen Cajirón II
The dolmen Cajirón II is located southwest of San Vicente de Alcántara near Alcantára in the north of the province of Badajoz , in Extremadura in Spain and is one of the dolmens of Alcántara .
The restored dolmen is located on a hill east of the Cajirón River. The area is rich in low vegetation ( gorse ). The dolmen is made of granite . It has a round chamber and a short passage (two cut pieces lie lengthways on the floor). The chamber consists of seven, inwardly inclined, graceful orthostats that support each other and are covered by a large stone slab.
There are no known finds as the dolmen was looted prior to restoration.
To the west, 400 m away is the more heavily damaged dolmen Cajirón 1 and another 500 m is the Dolmen del Mellizo .
