San Vicente de Alcántara is a Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Badajoz in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura . In 2016, the municipality counted 5,620 inhabitants on an area of 275.3 km². The municipality includes the manor districts ( encomienda ) Dehesa Mayorga and Dehesa Piedrabuena.

The municipality is located around 13 km southeast of Valencia de Alcántara and 21 km northwest of Alburquerque on the EX-110 regional road; the border with Portugal is around 25 km away by road.
The railway from Cáceres to Valencia de Alcántara runs through the northern municipality, where the train station is also located.

- Like the neighboring Valencia de Alcántara, San Vicente de Alcántara has several dolmens
- The Ermita de Santa Ana , built in 1708, was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural .
- The mighty tower, parts of the Torre del Homenaje and various walls have been preserved from the rectangular Castillo de Mayorga on a hill a few kilometers south of the village , which once belonged to the Alcántara Order .
