Oliva de la Frontera is a Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Badajoz in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura . In 2016 the municipality had 5,340 inhabitants on an area of 149.3 km².
location
The municipality is located around 81 km south of the provincial capital Badajoz , 57 km from Zafra , 15 km west of Jerez de los Caballeros and 5 km from the border with Portugal , which is formed here by the Río Ardila , which flows into the Guadiana .
