Salvatierra de los Barros is a Spanish municipality in the province of Badajoz in the autonomous community of Extremadura . In 2016, the municipality had 1,701 inhabitants on an area of ​​75 km².

The municipality is located south of the Tierra de los Barros landscape around 62 km southeast of the provincial capital Badajoz and 27 km west-northwest of Zafra in the province of Badajoz . In the south of the municipality rises the Sierra de Salvatierra , which reaches a height of 813 m.
