The Dolmen de la Fontaine au Son 1 + 2 (also called Fontaines de Son or Dolmen de la Fontaine) are located northeast of Saint-Léger-de-Montbrillais and north of the D347, near Loudun in the Vienne department in France .

On both sides of the “Impasse de Rabaté” (street) near the “Fontaines de Son” water treatment plant, there are two Angevin dolmens about 30 meters apart. The western dolmen 1 is a bit bigger and in better condition. In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

Dolmen 1

Dolmen 1 has a north-south oriented chamber with two preserved capstones over the southern part of the approximately 8.0 meter long chamber. The north end collapsed. The overgrown dolmen lies in a rock corner. It's hard to tell where the entrance was.

Dolmen 2

The eastern dolmen is fenced, partly because of the waterworks, but also because it is in a risky condition. It has a chamber measuring approximately 4.0 × 2.5 m with access to the east and a single, broken capstone. The dolmen is otherwise relatively well preserved.
