Dolmen Cruz-Menquen

The Cruz-Menquen dolmen (also called Pierre Chaude ) is located on Rue de Courdiec in the north of Carnac in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

Carnac's only dolmen is located between the houses, near the sports facilities, about 500 meters southeast of the row of stones in Le Menec . It is a small Christianized megalithic complex with a capstone of around 2.5 mx 2.0 m, which rests on three supporting stones. The corridor is no longer there. A 2.5 meter high concrete cross was mounted on the capstone. The dolmen has been designated as a monument historique since 1992 .
