Dolmen 1 from Cul Blanc

On the northern slopes of the “Mont-de-Sène” or “Mont des Troix Croix”, above the village “Dezize-les-Maranges” at a junction of the “Route des Trois Croix”, there are two dolmens , some of which are still are covered by their hills.

Dolmen 1 is located in the middle of a round hill about 15.0 m in diameter and is easy to find. The rectangular chamber, open to the southwest, is about 2.5 meters long and 1.3 meters wide. Three recessed lateral bearing stones and an end stone form the stone walls. They are covered with a remnant of limestone capstone , which forms an almost perfect equilateral triangle with a side length of 3 × 3 × 3 m.

Of the second dolmen, which seems to be similar to the first, about 40 m down the hill and still covered by the hill and bushes, only the top of the capstone can be seen.
