Dezize-lès-Maranges is a French municipality with 174 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It has an area of 5.1 km² and is located in the south of the Côte de Beaune at an altitude between 270 and 520 m above sea level . The place is about 19 km from Beaune . Dezize-lès-Maranges is well known for its wines .
Viticulture
red wine is predominantly produced in the Dezize-lès-Maranges wine-growing region. The municipality of Dezize-lès-Maranges has shared its appellation with the sister municipalities of Cheilly-lès-Maranges and Sampigny-lès-Maranges since 1989 . All three are located on the Les Maranges vineyard with the Premiers Crus Fussière, Croix Moines, Crus Clos de la Boutière, Clos de la Fussière, Clos Roussots, Clos des Loyères and Clos des Rois. The Pinot noir grown here is made with small proportions of the Pinot Liébault and Pinot gris grapes. While the place had its own appellation until May 23, 1989, the wines are now listed under the common appellation Maranges Contrôllée , but they can also be sold as Côte de Beaune or Côte de Beaune-Villages .
