Saint-Remy is a French commune with 6,639 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Chalon-sur-Saône and the canton of Saint-Rémy .
geography
Saint-Rémy is located on the Talie river , which flows into the Corne just before the Saône . Saint-Rémy is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chalon-sur-Saône in the north, Lux and Sevrey in the east, La Charmée in the south and Châtenoy-le-Royal and Givry in the west.
The A8 car route runs through the municipality .
