Étrigny is a French municipality with 474 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône and is part of the canton of Tournus (until 2015: canton of Sennecey-le-Grand ). The inhabitants are called Etrignalais .

geography

Étrigny is located about 21 kilometers south-southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . The municipality is crossed in the west by the river Grison . Étrigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nanton in the north, Mancey in the east, La Chapelle-sous-Brancion in the south, Chapaize in the south-west, Champagny-sous-Uxelles in the west and south-west, Bresse-sur-Grosne in the west and La Chapelle-de- Bragny to the west and northwest.
