Cheilly-lès-Maranges wine region

Mainly red wine is produced. The municipality of Cheilly-lès-Maranges has shared its appellation with the sister municipalities of Dezize-lès-Maranges and Sampigny-lès-Maranges since 1989 . All three are located on the Les Maranges vineyard with the Premiers Crus Fussière, Croix Moines, Crus Clos de la Boutière, Clos de la Fussière, Clos Roussots, Clos des Loyères and Clos des Rois. The Pinot noir grown here is made with small proportions of the Pinot Liébault and Pinot gris grapes. While the place had its own appellation until May 23, 1989, the wines are now listed under the common appellation Maranges Contrôllée , but they can also be marketed as Côte de Beaune or Côte de Beaune-Villages .
