Dennevy is about 18 kilometers northwest of Chalon-sur-Saône on the Canal du Center . Numerous types of wine are grown here in the Bourgogne wine region . Dennevy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cheilly-lès-Maranges in the north, Saint-Gilles in the north and northeast, Chamilly in the east, Aluze in the southeast, Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune in the south, Couches in the southwest and Saint-Sernin-du- Plain to the west and northwest.
