La Charmée is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Givry in the north and northwest, Saint-Rémy in the north and northeast, Sevrey in the east and northeast, Saint-Loup-de-Varennes in the east, Varennes-le-Grand in the southeast, and Saint-Ambreuil in the south and south-east, Saint-Germain-lès-Buxy to the south and south-west and Granges to the west.
