La Charmée is a French municipality with 695 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône and is part of the canton of Saint-Rémy (until 2015: canton of Chalon-sur-Saône-Sud ).

La Charmée is about eight kilometers southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . La Charmée is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Givry in the north and northwest, Saint-Rémy in the north and northeast, Sevrey in the east and northeast, Saint-Loup-de-Varennes in the east, Varennes-le-Grand in the southeast, and Saint-Ambreuil in the south and south-east, Saint-Germain-lès-Buxy to the south and south-west and Granges to the west.
