Lux is a French commune with 2,011 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône and is part of the canton of Saint-Rémy (until 2015: canton of Chalon-sur-Saône-Sud ).
geography
Lux is on the Saône , which forms the eastern municipal boundary and into which the Corne , which forms the northern municipal boundary with the Thalie , flows. Lux is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Rémy in the north and west, Chalon-sur-Saône in the north and north-east, Saint-Marcel in the north-east, Épervans in the east and south-east, Saint-Loup-de-Varennes in the south and Sevrey in the west.
The Autoroute A6 and the former Route nationale 6 (today's D906) run through the municipality .
