Sevrey is a French commune with 1,226 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône and is part of the canton of Saint-Rémy (until 2015: canton of Chalon-sur-Saône-Sud ).

Sevrey is about five kilometers south-southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . Sevrey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Rémy in the north, Lux in the north and east, Saint-Loup-de-Varennes in the south and south-east and La Charmée in the west and south-west.
The A6 autoroute divides the community.
